I registered. I logged in. I tried to post a message using Firefox for Linux. That wouldn't work. I then tried again using MSIE for Windows XP. Same outcome.
I've never had a similar problem in any forum before.
Is there something special I need to do to post a message in these forums?
PS.: I checked my post length. It was about 2k characters, well within the maximum limit.
PPS: The problem's solved. I had pasted into my attempted posts data first created in Gedit, the text editor, and there was some character encoding problem in that data. What it was, I don't know, but when I re-created my post by typing it directly into the form, the problem disappeared. Sorry to bother people.
