I use dsl embedded, but I think this may be of interest to all users.
I am experiencing two minor annoyances in 2.2 that were not there in 2.0

1) If I boot DSL in text mode, mount a .dsl extension with mydsl-load, and then startx, the extension is loaded but will not appear in the menu nor the related icon. I have to resort to launch the application from a shell.

2) If I load the extension from efelm, all icons disappear altogether, but the MYSDL entry appears correctly in the menu. Then I have to shut X and restart it to reaload the desktop correctly.

I wonder if any of you has the same problem and can help me with that.

Not a bug. More likely a permission issue caused by trying to get around the "NON DSL user" error. I did not want to have to disable loading at runlevel 2 as somethimes it is desireable to load up gnu-utils, gcc, and non X apps. Check your perms probably have root owned items which is causing your failure.
