Hi,

I burned the latest ISO to CD and started from it. I can't use Firefox. When I start it, the whole system locks after some time. I used to run it on an older DSL version I tried, without any problems.

I have a Logitech mouse with 2 Buttons and a mouse wheel. I can't get it working.

Is it btw possible to safe settings (and programs I want to install with APT-GET)to the usb stick?

Thank you!

Grets, Diogenes

Did you boot with> dsl xsetup <and configure your mouse? From a running system it's ctrl+alt+backspace then type xsetup.sh

From the command line firefox -safe-mode.

But iI don't think it'll speed up if it crashes often

Hi,

Whatever I do: no mouse scrollwheel. The 2 buttons work fine, but not the wheel.

I have some more questions:
1) In the mount tool, I don't see any of the 2 HD's in my computer. I can mount them by  "sudo mount /dev/sdb /mnt/sdb" being SU, but not as user. Why aren't these HD's mountable? I don't see them in fstab either.
2) Can I set a Super User password so that only I can give SU commands? (now everybody can type sudo and is SU.
3) Can I log in as SuperUser so I get all rights automatically?
4) Is it possible to edit and safe the fstab file or will the old fstab be loaded from CD at reboot?

I just found out how to reconnect to the Net. I disconnect t with the command "sudo ifconfig  down eth0".  I then type "sudo route add default gw Router-IP-Address" and then one can reconnect with "sudo ifconfig up eth0"

I hope this will help someone else.

TIA! Derk
