I'm a DSL noob and only tried it cos it was on a coverdisk and now i'm hooked.
I've just copleted a dukebox using DSL and in all it's take sub 10 minutes to install and configure and start ripping.
I ran into a few problems with the sound card when I was testing the waters so to speak, but after a post on the forum and a bit odf searching all the problems are sorted.
So i've now got a dukebox in the workshop.
Spec : Compaq Deskpro EN (SFF) 6350 80gb H/D, 128mb Ram, 12" Keycorp TFT ( all surplus stock purchased for less than £40 )
I think i'll play a little more and install a wireless network connection and make it into a streaming server next
I've ordered the book and hope to make customised version of DSL for workstations at work - that'll learn them pesky kids ;)
Thanks to the DSL team for a great distro and I will be making a donation shortly.
