I personally would like to see it go away.  I put the disc in while the computer is on in windows, so that I can reboot and run the live cd.  The autorun always gets in the way of me shutting down.  This is a great distro that needs no introduction.

If you hold down the shift key whilst the cd is loading, this should stop any auto-run programs runing from the cd then you can reboot.

I'd prefer to just not have the need, but others may want it there.  I figured I'd take a poll rather than ask for it to be removed.  Of course, if we don't get many votes, it won't be any clearer what the "majority" would prefer.  Then again, it boils down to John's decision regardless what the majority want. :O
