I have DSL 0.6.1, and right now I am running FireFox, which is a special build for 586 machines, (The one Mozilla has is for 686), and is obtained through the menu, connecting to the DSL server for that special 586 build. --- The script in the menu goes here: http://www.damnsmalllinux.org/firefox-i586-pc-linux-gnu.tar.gz if it cannot get it from ibiblio.org. Don't click on the link to install, use the menu item to do that. --- Here is what I get in FireFox, when I enter about:plugins in the url line: --- Shockwave Flash
File name: libflashplayer.so Shockwave Flash 6.0 r79
MIME Type Description Suffixes Enabled application/x-shockwave-flash Shockwave Flash swf Yes application/futuresplash FutureSplash Player spl Yes --- As you can see, they are installed and enabled. So, it does work, but not for the 686 build of FireFox, apparently, so that is why DSL obtained the 586 build. I installed mine about two weeks ago, don't know if the links are ok today, but they probably are. ---
