Well I had finally decided to install DSL!, I installed it on one older pc, and IBM 133Mhz with 64Mb, but I have a problem to connet to internet.
I have one pc (with windows XP) that has the modem connected on a first netcard and then a cable goes from a second netcard to a router, where I have others computers with windows xp plugged in (in order to connect to the internet), my problem is that when I connect the IBM (with DSL) to the router DSL doesn't have internet. When I'm logging in it appears to recognize my card (eth0) but I don't have internet.
The router and the netcard lights don't turn on so apparently there is no communication.
Hope someone can give me a hand, THANKS!!
bye!

If you don't have a dhcp server (thing that automatically assigns IP addresses) then you need to configure your IP address manually.  Did you set up your windows boxes with static (you put the numbers in yourself and assigned each one a unique number) IP addresses or how are they handled?

The DSL box will send out a dhcp request when it starts up but if it doesn't get a reply it can't configure the IP address.

To make sure your card is being seen open the System Stats (under the System menu from the main DSL menu) and select the Hardware tab.  There will be a netcard name entry and one for the driver.

Or you can simply run the netcardconfig  under the Setup->Net Setup menu.  If the card isn't recognized it will tell you  No Network Cards.  If it is you will be presented with the option to request DHCP.  If you select yes it will look for the dhcp server and you can watch the lights on your router to see if it is trying to reach the server.

If that fails run the net setup again and just pick an IP address to assign to it and see if you can ping your other machines.
