Hmmm, the only stock app i use in DSL is dillo, i use dillo about 90% of the time. Everything else i use is added on after startup, i use firefox 1.5 from FF site, gaim.dsl, openoffice.dsl, abiword.dsl, rox.dsl, mplayer/plug-in.dsl, are the apps i would use regularly but are not part of the base DSL.

Bash, because you can do just about anything with it.

DSL 'stock' apps I use regularly:

ssh (useful in conjunction with DSL's X server for working on my other Linux boxes)
Firefox (self-explanatory :) )
VNC viewer (usually tunneled through ssh)
vim (edits to config files)
XMMS (music while you work!)

Other apps are add-ons (MyDSL, uci, etc.).
