'm not a complete noobie, I know unix, linux and X, somewhat, but I cannot
for the life of me, find how to create a new folder in the dsl window manager.

Can you do this? Am I missing something?

Can some one point me to directions for doing this? I have done searches
throughout the forums, but have come up with no match for "Folders" or
"Create Folders".

DSL's window managers are jwm and fluxbox... I don't think that's a right search word.

You can use 'mkdir' in console
emelfm probably has some button

And if you need to create a directory within a directory that may not already exist, use "mkdir -p /path/to/directory".

In Midnight Commander, press F7
