ok i have to say: i'm a newbie on linux in general. i started witch slackware to build me a fileserver with samba, that whas a hassle, but it runs stable now.
a few day's ago i decided i want to build a web-cache-server. so i went on to search for a decent distro to use as a base-line.
guess what i found DSL. i can't express how happely suprised i was when i first fired it up. It's so damn fast and small and easy and the eyecandy is like it should be: great for the eye, but light for the cpu. it's a small distro but yet it got ALL the tools i need for basic operation and installing, so it's ideal to use as a base to build on.
i had only little trouble getting the hang of it, but all is very straight forward. now i know why ppl say "linux rules" .
thank you ALL for creating and supporting this GREAT distro !! EXELLENT! amen.
