  I tried to start livecd env in rc4 ( my friend had no trouble and I had no trouble on my older dell PIV machine)..but here on my new machine its giving me opcode errors from c drom it appears..I can load other distros just fine so im wondering if its the brand or something messing with DSL's routines ?

its a emprex dvdrw drive..

any idea ?

It is rc4...im sorry I did not make note of that ;(

all I know is that I got opcode errors but only on this new machine I have..rc4 looks fine on other machines but maybe its some issue with my newer hardware over here shrug..:)

all I know is I got a bunch of opcode errors...somethig to do with cdrom im sure of it..then I got black screen with '_' in upper left corner of screen..it was not even blinking and the computer locked tight making reset mandatory.

Latest stable is fine, but id hoped to test rc4 as well..no matter I can do both so yes ill grab 3.2 if you think its that much more s table.
