After finally getting the Grub entry right (thanks to "mikshaw" and "^thehatsrule^": Thanks guys <=(:-) -(smiley with a hat on, for you guys, I just couldn't figure out how to give it a tip o' the hat ) I finished the installation, but it only asked for a root passsword, not a user or user password. Forgetting that I needed to create a user (I haven't looked into that yet), I downloaded the apsfilter printing program so's I can print from this box. I haven't checked it out yet, so I may have more questions! Anyways, I went to their website and downloaded their free music ... it downloaded to Desktop (firefox), but now I can't find it. I've used "whereis", "find", and locate"; those are the only three commands I know of to find lost files, but none of them were able to find my .mp3 files, so I can play the music. Of all the ones I downloaded, "Cocaine" was the last to download .... do you know how hard it is to hear that song over and over without stopping, for four or five hours without a break, while you're trying to figure out where the rest of the downloads are? ........... never mind, I won't answer that in public!! ........
Can anyone help me to find my lost files? TIA, IM2Slick
