enter the key combination

CTRL + ALT + BACKSPACE to leave XWindows and go to command prompt.

Now type

sh xsetup.sh

There you can change your keyboard layout.

You can once angain goto XWindows by typing startx at the prompt.

This step works fine for me.

Hi,
Thanks for your reply.I was able to go further and connect to my ISP through a Dial up external modem 56 K

Now when I click on firefox the CD reader starts and there is no end of it
When I click on sylpheed the CD reader starts and stops after a while

I would like to know also how I can store my DSL configuration on the Hard disk for the next session

Thanks again for the step by step

:D

For quick reference, you may see the startup page that pops up in dillo (or see http://damnsmalllinux.org/wiki/index.php/Local_Startup_Documentation )
