My dell latitude D620 will not boot DSL v3.3 I get the following error CODE: BAD EIP VALUE <0> Kernal Panic: Attempted to kill init! DSL-N 0.1 RC4 Works fine.

DSL v3.3 works fine on other laptops.

Forum search: latitude AND eip
This http://damnsmalllinux.org/cgi-bin....t=13567
suggests the boot/cheatcodes noacpi and/or acpi=off
and failsafe as a last resort

hmm....i can't get x to start, but if i go "dsl 2" i can get runlevel 2 to start on my D620....course then i'm only running on one core. but anyways i run DSL on my pII 400 machine, and knoppix 5.11 on my D620. i have 2gb ram on it and run 5.11 in toram mode...is quite awesome.
