Finally made a CD to play with DSL. I must say, I like it. Works flawlessly on my 400MHz K6-2 (the slowest machine I have with a cdrom on it).

Thanks for a nice, useful, non-bloated OS.

I really like this too! I am a complete beginner when it comes to Linux, but this is a really friendly distribution. I've installed several distros, and I'd have to say DSL is my favourite. It starts up the fastest, detects EVERYTHING, and is simple to use(even for me). I've also used it on several other PC's, all with the same pleasurable results. I just wanna thank everyone who was responsible for this. :;):

Woohoo! Even better! I just booted the CD on my duty machine (XP2200) and everything just works right off the bat. Networking happened without thinking, sound works great, boots really fast (especially since I'm used to RedHat 8).

Guess I should go make a pile of backups and try an hdinstall.

the 0.5.1.1 version is quite a bit better than some of the earlier versions. install, and shutdown processes seem to be working quite smoothly now. keep up the good work!
