I have been following DSL 4 for some time and have not been able to make a HDD install. I tried on two different PCs with identical negative result. During grub install the computer stalls. Earlier releases have installed flawlesly on both machines. Is someone taking hand on this or can I assist with moredetails?

Are you formatting the target partition with ext3 or ext2?  The ext3 modules are broken in DSL 4.0 RC1 and will be fixed in DSL 4.0 RC2.

Release candidate (rc) issues belong in the section set up for them.

formating ext2 caused the HDD install to perform smoothly. I was actualæly first trying ext3.
Thanks for the advice

Admitted. I tried the RC section, but was denied acces.
However, the problem is now solved.
