Hi guys,

Congratulations I became fan !

However...

I figured that if there is no HD install DSL can't adress internet, USB, CD rom... (True ?)

So I used "Install to HD" (drop-down menu.)
DSLwiped away my experimental Debian OS.
Which was fine because I wanted to see if DSL detects anything when installing... (it doesn't.)
DSL seems to install itself and then asks if there is any "Windows" on the HD. (No.)
Then it spits out the CD in order to reboot.
Then the pc says: put in a system disk ; there is no system...

Strange. What could it be ?

Thanks in advance guys, I know you are all very buisy and I have time. Cheers ! :)

DSL can connect to the internet, use USB, etc., from the CD. You don't need a hard drive to use it.

Learn what you're doing before you do it and ask questions if you aren't sure. Leaping before you look is dangerous with operating systems as with so many other things.

The installation process is detailed in the wiki and also in the documents section where you downloaded the ISO. It presumes you've set aside a partition, and it prompts you to specify where you want it installed. It doesn't select a partition, nor is it "automatic," nor does it do like so many others and force you to accept partitioning schemes that aren't what you specifically want.

USB netadapter: wifi or wired?
