I've got to add my 2 cents here. I spent a lot of time trying various LiveCD distros before settling on DSL. I chose DSL for the small size and range of applications. Finally set up a computer to install it on the hard drive. Did the installation about a month ago and have managed to learn a few things on my own and through the help of the regulars. "Me 'ats off to" John and Robert for the truly"giant" mightly mite distro, and to Ken4nt and chbagger01 for their work and assistance.

Simply the best distro that I have tried.  Congratulaions and thanks.  I run DSL from a mini CD (ordered a business card sized one) with about 100 MB of .DSL on a 512 MB USB key.  This leaves plenty of room for projects/data.  Everything fits in my pocket and I can take over any windows machine at work and there is nothing IT can complain about.  I am very impressed with the hardware detection of DSL it recognized my Ambicom CF 802.11b card in a PCMCIA adapter, a 20gb Archos USB HDD and an 80gb Buslink USB HDD-not all versions of Knoppix have done this.  Just for the record it isn't booting on an Athlon 3200 based compaq with an Nvidia 128Mb videocard (So far only Knoppix 3.4 does this) and I haven't gotten it to recognize a D-Link DWL-122 USB 802.11b adapter.
