John,
As a comment to the locked topic at: http://damnsmalllinux.org/cgi-bin....=20537;
When looking at the browser can you please do something about the initial startup of Firefox on a newly installed system. When Firefox is started for the first time, if it is behind a firewall, or there is not an active internet connection it takes many minutes before it times out trying to connect to the net & finally starts the GUI of the program so that the options menu can be reached and appropriate proxy settings etc put in. It is a real pain. Perhaps it can be set to the same start file as for Dillo?
