Barney Matthews, the writer who has offered several "test-drive" reviews of small linux distros has a new piece on Distrowatch about "Slax" a 185 MB mini-LiveCD distro.
In writing about the adv/disadvantages of running from a liveCD format, his point being you were "stuck" with the apps on the LiveCD, It was nice to see him mention DamnSmallLinux as a distro that has the ability to "add" packages to itself..
I'm enjoying the fact that DSL is making a difference..
I think I'll email him and let him know how well it runs from a USBkey.. I've been testing DSL with a new 512MB pendrive, and it is truly awesome to boot, load, run, AND have the entire repository + mp3's, other personal files, etc.. run SO SMOOTHLY from USB.. Nice work, roberts...
