I've been using Linux as an alternative OS for a little over 2 years now, but consider myself pretty much a 'noob' with this OS compared to my peers here and in other Linux forums. My biggest peeve with Linux has been with the 'bloat' that Linux proponets complain about with m$ os's, yet m$ installs with under a gig with w2k and just over a gig with xp_pro, yet most Linux distro's are over 4 gigs. Talk about bloat .............

I've done Red Hat, Debian, SuSe, Slack, balh, blah on and on. Dozens. I have even done a Gentoo install starting from the the first tarball,(which by the way everyone should take a stab at), finishing nicely, but ultimately was a PITA to maintain.

I am extremely pleased to have tripped across the last distro I'll ever need to install. Kudo's to all the developers, mantainers, contributers and forum members.

Bottom line, DSL is ALL I need and have ever needed in an OS. I have only 3 or 4 things to figure out and I'll be set.

Those things will probably be figured out with a bit of reading here  and from a few questions to the board here.

Well done everyone, Absolutely Brilliant !

I don't mean to be a wet blanket, since I really dig DSL too....I just wanted to point out that the "bloat" in most linux distros are additional applications, things you wouldn't find with any Windows distribution.  You could choose to install a minimal or custom system from any gnu/linux distro and use much less space than Windows, while still having much more functionality.
The bloat comes because a lot of distros install a huge amount of software by default, yet a lot of it is 1) KDE and/or 2) multiple choices for the same type of programs (such as 6 different text editors).

That said, I agree about DSL....it's amazing the amount of useability you get from such a small package.
