I have been trying many different linux distros for my old p166mhz, 40mb ram, 1gig hd, and finally i found dsl, which works perfect for me. all i wanted was a linux distro for chating, and mail, and dsl is working perfect so far for me. thanks for making this easy to use distro.

I too am running DSL on a 166, It's an old Dell Optiplex. DSL is perfect for this unit. I have it installed on the hard drive and I really couldn't be happier. As soon as I get it up and running hardware wise I'll be running it on an NEC 133 laptop too. All I can say id GREAT JOB guys.

Hey guys,
Is it DSL 7.2  you're using on these older machines,
or something earlier?
A p200 awaits an o/s, I have used 5.3 on it in the past,
and was intending to reinstall.
I just wanted to put dos on it,"up front" so to speak,
and then a species of DSL.

Regards,
Adraker
