First off.. excellent job on DSL! I have been able to successfully run it on an old 450 mhz AMD computer that I was about to throw away. After running DSL on the older computer for a while, I decided to try it on my regular computer.. I put the CD in my cd drive, boot up the computer, halt the Windows XP boot manager by pressing F11 and setting my boot device in my bios to the CD. After a few seconds, I am displayed a splash screen. I press the Enter key upon the boot:, and seconds later the message "Error; Only one processor found." is displayed next to Tux.
I'm new to linux, and am not sure if there is a certain command or something to bypass this, but never the less my motherboard isnt a dual processor board. I'm running an AMD XP 2000 processor with 128 megs of DDR333 memory.
Any ideas on how to fix this? I tried buggering with the BIOS.. perhaps I've overlooked something?
Thanks in advance to anyone who tries to help this lost newbie
