i dont want to have to switch over to windows to go online
oh and how can i make it so that i can save my settings .. like dont have to go through that settup process when i put the cd in? well anyway... thanks!

I think DSL supports all of them.
If you want to config your NIC,   then bring up Xshell > root
and type netcardconfig
Read the readme and there are various documents in
/usr/share/doc

About how to save your setting.
there is a script " filetools.lst " you can edit it store all setting in USB memory stick or other hdd partiion.
