So my laptop is a centrino laptop with the intel 2100 chip for wlan and a broadcom chip for normal lan. i ve 512 mb ram. there was no big problem by making my usb stick from kingston bootable and i am writing this at the moment from ASL and firefox 0.8.

looks nice but it isnt. the broadcom card isnt detecet at boot up but the driver is there called b44.o so i wonderd why it isnt loaded a boot up. okay my wlan card isnt supported right???? if yes how to enable it? i downloaded the uci firefox 0.8 and thats also quite easy to load it with mydsl-load. but i ve enouph space on my boot usb and i want to store firefox there and if there are a possibility then firefox 1.0pre . and if i try to edit filetool.lts after reboot the file is like befor. i didnt find a real good howto for it so if somebody can help me.

overall its easy to install dsl. sound is working nice, only on xmms i ve to klick an the volume button that the sound starts but okay doesent metter.

Write down the exact commands that you need to type in that make your netwok card start working.

Then type this inside an xterm:

scite /opt/bootlocal.sh

and then add your command lines to this file and save it.

Finally, use the backup / restore process to make DSL restore this file.  Check out the help information or search this forum for keyword "filetool.lst" for more info.
