Here's my two cents on DSL. I'm a bit of a Knoppix enthusiast (though still a linux newb, mainly because some of my hardware is not compatable with linux (except Knoppix, haven't tested DSL yet).
First Idea- USB Bootable This would obviously require USB stick access first (not yet enabled for some reason ). Damn small linux can be booted from a Stick but the process could be made a lot simpler with a script similiar to DSL-hdinstall, one would simply select the (mounted) memmory key. The script would copy the cloop and any other necessary files to the key, as well as setup the bootloader. This smaescript could also be used for creating bootable HD based installs (e.g. booting from an internal CF card,etc.). It would be preferable to insure that the drive that DSL booted from would be writable.
Second Idea- USB Key Mountable Just a few words- I need my Memmory Key to be mountable. Please! A USB key would also be perfect if you want to use a computer without using it's HD but still keep your files, simply save your files to the key.
Third Idea- Abiword I searched through the forum to find this but didn't spot it. Abiword is a (fairly) small but powerful word processor,by removing the clipart the program could be made very small, I lovethis editor and use it on both Windows and Linux. I'd really like to see this added to DSL
Thanks for Reading!
