Heh, I dunno how I found DSL, but it doesn't matter... I love it :)
Here's the reasons why I choose DSL as my main distro:
* It autoconfigures everything. From my ankward via-rhine (VIA Eden 5000) to my connection, and even the sound plays without a single error/glitch. It's awesome, because if I have to configure anything, then it'll break ;) When it's starting up for the first time it politely asks for some passwords, and I type them in. Then I open a shell in X and type "dpkg-restore", and apt-get is enabled. That's all. It's simple. And I like that :) * It installs easely. Every other distro that I have tried has 10 to 20 steps where I don't have a clue what to answer! Here, what I see is what I get, and I like that. I can just open up a shell, use cfdisk to create partitions and type "dsl-hdinstall". And whoopie! It's done installing in 2 minutes! No woes! And I like that :) * It's fast enough! And I like that :) * It's has apt-get, which I like, even though dependencies are killing me :P I don't like dependencies, but I like the debian package system. * It's easy to configure, becuase it's based on Fluxbox. I am currently messing around with icons and my menu. And it works. And I like that! Now I just need to find out how to get ROX up'n'running so that I can sexualize my desktop. I think that DSL should have an "Install ROX" besides "Install Firebird" (which is Firefox now :P). I would like that :)
So, two thumbs up :)
