Actually, Beaver is no longer in active development. Which is really too bad. A few minor bugfixes, like in bash script syntax recognition, and it would be a REALLY nice editor. And tabbed editing rocked.

Emacs really isnt an editor anymore. It's an operating system that runs INSIDE Linux. O_o
Didi you know that you can browse the 'net with it?
And it does better than several text-based browsers!! *glares at rettawq*
