I want to be able to boot from pendrive use in under Linux (qemu!)

do I use embedded, usb or 5 way ..

Even so, some computers do not like to boot a USB device that is formatted this way.  Even though these computers supposedly support USB booting, you will need to either create a boot floppy for them OR you can try an alternative method like HP or DSL memory key boot utility with either SYSLINUX or FreeDOS+loadlin

I grabbed 5 way loaded it up to pendrive no problem

Set BIOS to USB-HDD away it went ...

Using Grub (on pendrive) to boot as syslinux did not work for me

added fromhd=sda2 that speeds up loading .....

very happy now
