A few months ago I had a dream , to install LTSP networks in schools in my native EL Salvador , after so many hurddles I collected 15 pent ones and 5 pent twos and install ltsp networks in 4 different locations I chose Damnsmalllinux as the Back up distro (just in case the network goes down) for it's size and speed , after a long fight with the Xfree86 server extention which I finally got going just right ,
I wish I could pack more extentions in the tiny 1 gigabyte hard drive but I have to leave room for the student files.
hopefullly more people takes notice and do the same thing (I mean donate computers to underprivileged schools)

Very nice to hear projects like this.
Just curious, what are the remote apps being served up by LTSP?
You mention about the student files? Are they being stored locally?
Wondering if DSL could host the apps via extensions locally with student data stored centrally via NASLite?
Just another setup option to consider with DSL playing a more prominent role.

well done.
just a curiosity: is dsl running on the server(s) or on the clients machine? how many P1 clients can a p2 server hold in the network you set up? or is DSl coming tinto game onli hen network is unreachable?

long live trashware, that helps to bridge the digital divide!
:)
