Damn small linux is great!!!
(sorry my english is bad)
I have a 56k and it hard to download a good linux for me.
My friend burn me Vector Linux but i was unable to install my printer and it was very slow and not very usefull for my homework...
But this one is really fast and easy to use and understand.
My computer is a p2 200mhz mmx 64 ram but my grafic card is only 1mo.
I install it all from the hd, no boot floppy or cd very easly with loadlin. :)

How-to unistall lilo to boot directly Dsl?
Thank you very much, now im on firefox, but not on windows.   :;):

RE: lilo, I think you'll always need a bootloader like lilo, but you should be able to modify it so that you never see it, or only see it for a second, before it automatically selects and loads DSL.
I can't remember off hand, but I think possibly there's a file called something like lilo-config, which you edit to change the boot options like how long to wait before booting the default system, then I think you run "mkliloboot" to register these new settings.  maybe...
Oops, OK, just searched for "mkliloboot", it looks like the file you want to edit is "/etc/lilo.conf", then you want to
sudo su
lilo

And that should implement the new settings.  No need for mkliloboot.

Or there's the Grub bootloader if you want to try something different.

RE: Downloading DSL -> the small size of DSL is definitely a major plus when looking for a linux to download.  Now that I have cable it's much less of an issue, but even so, 50MB vs 700MB, 1.4GB, 2.1GB... I know which one I'm choosing!  And it does virtually everything the bloated, slow distros do in over 14x the size! (minimum!)  And if it doesn't do what you want it to do "out of the box", you can usually find small packages to add to it that will add the functionality you want! :D

It's such a nice change for something to be easy, especially coming from a M$ based world.
