Been working on a replacement icon set, backed it all up with filetool.lst, has worked in the past, but I can't seem to get this extension to load with 1.0.1 (haven't tried it with earlier ones).
The filename is DSL_Icons_1.0.1.tar.gz, and it's a backup of
home/dsl/.xtdesktop

When I select the extension and click "mydsl", the files don't extract.  But if I double click the extension to open it up, go through the folders, select the content files, and copy over to .xtdesktop, all goes as planned.

Any thoughts?  Is "home/dsl" still simlinked to "ramdisk/home/dsl"?

My settings backup seems to be working perfectly.

Also, seems a few of my downloaded extensions, like TuxRacer, don't show up in the installed mydsl menu when loaded, but typing "tuxracer" in the xterm works...  As far as I know, I have the latest versions of the extensions.

Oh, and OT, did I read somewhere that there is a ppt viewer (converter?) built into 1.0.1?  Can't find it...  (though Impress in OpenOffice works a treat - but I don't have the space for OO on my mini-CDs)

Hmm, don't know why, but I just repackaged the icons, and it looks like it now works.  Weird.

Tried double-clicking ppt's, only came up with the usual options, when you click "view" it tries to open with beaver.

Still having the troubles with TuxRacer and a few other extensions not showing up in the menu after installation.

Hmm, I may have hit on something here.  Just tried a vanilla boot again, and my new package again didn't work.  BUT when I installed gnu-utils, it worked!?  I'm thinking maybe I packaged it up after I had installed gnu-utils, and somehow the tar.gz compression is different from the busybox one, and busybox can't read it?

Also a few XMMS skins that I had lying around didn't work before gnu-utils was installed, but do afterwards...

You don't see a pptview.sh link inside your emelfm because you must be restoring your old .emelfm stuff from an older version of DSL.

If you boot with:

dsl base norestore

You should be able to view ppt documents with emelfm by double clicking on them.
