I downloaded and created a bootable CD just a couple days ago. I did the HD install about a half hour ago. Everything went smooth as silk. Yeah, I'm hooked! Great job!!!
The bad news is that I'm a Linux Newbie. I have played with different Distros for the past several years, but the closest I really ever got to using Linux on a regular basis was Mandrake 8.0, which I used off and on for 6 months. Looks like DSL might just do the trick, for me anyway. I really like what I see so far.
I'll be asking a lot of questions about installing and configuring over the next few weeks. Hope you Linux Gurus can put up with another Newbie. One of my first projects will be to configure Samba to share files with the Windows PCs on my home network. I'd welcome any thoughts or links to 'How-To' pages.
