First problem is the "make bootable data disk". Don't do this. The ISO is already bootable, and making a bootable data disk will succeed only in making a dos disk containg the ISO and your extension(s). The ISO needs to be burned as a disk image rather than a data CD, so you need to rebuild the ISO file in order to include extra files. Fortunately, DSL includes a "mkmydsl" script that will do this for you. It should be available from the fluxbox menu under "tools".
