hit add ad the extensions and the 1.5 iso and hit next it then asked for a boot floppy since i dont own a linux boot floppy i used a windows one i burnd it when i put the new disk in the drive it boots a dos promt how do i burn dsl with extensions using nero?

First problem is the "make bootable data disk".  Don't do this.  The ISO is already bootable, and making a bootable data disk will succeed only in making a dos disk containg the ISO and your extension(s).  The ISO needs to be burned as a disk image rather than a data CD, so you need to rebuild the ISO file in order to include extra files.
Fortunately, DSL includes a "mkmydsl" script that will do this for you.  It should be available from the fluxbox menu under "tools".
