Hi,

I intend to answer this question for myself, but I thought I would ask incase anyone has any quick advice.

I'm going to try to use Sun's Java 1.5 on DSL from a memory stick.  I understand that AWT (the graphics layer) won't work because it required GNOME.  But other than that, has anyone had any problems or limitations?

Thanks,
Christian

Well, I think I'v answered my own question.  I'm running DSL with the QEMU emulator.  I installed Java 5 to the RAM disk and ran a console listener.. telneted to the port and there it was.

Then I thought, I'll start an AWT app expecting to see the "Headless Exception"... but it worked!!! I didn't expect that.

Awsome!!
