Hi.

I'm trying to run dsl from cd. Everything goes ok, but my usb optical mouse doesn't work - even dont flash red (power on). I tryed to connect it to diffirent ports but without effect.
I suppose that Xserver starts with --mouse /det/ttyS0 (so I need usbmouse)
Of course I tryed start kernel: dsl xsetup (no change after set usbmouse)

Because there is no 'start button', all what can I do is poweroff pc.
My mobo is Asus A8N-SLI-Deluxe

I would suspect equipment.  I am using a HP usb optical mouse but unlike you, I get the light on the mouse.
I used the xsetup.sh and saved the config.  Works fine.  So ....  if doesn't come up on some other OS, you may have a bad setup in your BIOS or equip problems.  You might try setting the BIOS to USB legacy and see if you have results (this suggestion is really grabbing at straws in hopes it isn't equip!?).
