I've looked at simplymempis, kanotix, knoppix, feather, puppy, and a few others and like dsl best, however I am stuck using windows until someone makes wireless support more of a reality.  My newer notebook has a pci bus Ralink wireless modem and dsl does not recognize it.  I am not a geek, so I am not willing to go through a lot of trouble making linux work.  Right now I am typing this message using my notebook and windows and my wireless connection.  It was very easy to set up.   But I have spent hours trying to get linux systems to do wireless.  I have read posts saying it is possible, however someone needs to make something like the windows install hardware wizzard for linux.  It amazes me this does not seem available.  Otherwise, this distribution is a nice toy, and hopefully it will become a useable work device.

Hi Patrick
I am always a little amazed when I see posts like this.  I'm not giving you a hard time because you have an excellent point.  But it is directed to the wrong people.  I am sure that DSL and a lot of other distributions would make use of free open source drivers supplied by the wireless venders.  Did you go to there web site and check to see if they had one and if not leave them a note explaining that you would love to use there hardware if they would only provide one.  What I did was research what wireless hardware works well with linux and purchased that one.  It is recognized on bootup and I am on the web wirelessly with no intervention on my part.  It doesn't get any better than that.
good luck
