in a standard xterm, i can quickly change the font size by using
ctrl-button3 to bring up a menu of font choices.  is there any way
to do that with dsl?  where is xterm fontsize configured?

In DSL, xterm is actually aterm. Try Shift+KP_Add and Shift+KP_Subtract
