Hi

Not sure if this is the right forum for this but..

I have built a digitial picture frame using DSL on an old laptop, is there any way to configure the starting position for the mouse pointer so it is off screen/ at the edge of the screen when booting.

If anyone is interested here is the page i used for building the frame / OS

http://briflo.com/pictureframe.htm

Thanks

You could try installing the "unclutter" program, which hides the cursor when there is nothing controlling it.

You could also use an image viewer that hides the cursor, such as gqview.  It might actually use unclutter itself, so it might not be any better.

A third option is to create a blank cursor and use xset to enable that instead of the default. I have instructions for how to do this, somewhere...but you can probably find it easily enough through goooogle.

I'm sure there are other ways to do it
