Hi, I have searched the internet for help but I can't find out how to change the "refresh rate" of DSL. I want to do this because 60hz hurts my eyes after a while (no pun intended).

Am I the only one who changes this? Everyone else I know has a flickery screen. But a high refresh rate can be as comfortable as any LCD screen, I think.

I know that you must specify a vertical and horizontal rate, as found in your monitor's manual, but WHERE do I specify this?

Sorry, the short answer is that you can't: DSL uses the Xvesa X-server and this uses the default refresh rate settings of the graphics card (I think). As this usually is 60 Hz, there isn't much you can do.

There are two solutions though:
1. If you are running from a HD, install the full Xfree86 X-server.
2. If you can find a ms-dos utility to set resolutions and refresh rates; boot into dos, use this utility and finally boot into DSL with loadlin.
