Hey I figured out a lot already and I think DSL is really great und works nearly as fast on my 266 as  my MDK on my Athlon 2000.

But I really do need my German keyboard. :D  .

I already figured out that the german fluxbox.cat is missing but it's not only fluxbox that doesn't let me use German, it's also the console.

Can u help me please!

If you have an HD install, you can place something like "loadkeys de" (without quotes) in /opt/bootlocal.sh. If you are running the live CD first kill X by crtl+alt+backspace, then issue the loadkeys de command, and finally run startx.

On startup there is shown a location "loadkmap ..." or something like this.
Take a look into this folder (I do not know it at the moment).
In this folder you can see several keymaps. You have to choose "de / nodeadkeys" to have Ö,Ä and Ü.
"Nodeadkeys" is necessary for proper printing in the office suite "Abiword". The simple de keymap produced errors when printing.
