You'd need fluxbox-dev in order to do that. It utilizes a file called 'apps' which allows you to specify per-application settings, one of which is the workspace on which a particular application is launched.
//EDIT I just realized what you meant... I don't know of any way to do that with Fluxbox, but I know Ion will do it. The default configuration in Ion loads each part of Xmms into a separate window, which could easily be separate workspaces.
