Right, once again (i am n00b as you know already), im stuck. How do i add/remove icons from the desktop? Im guessing there is a script i don't know about...

Still need to work out a few other things aswell:

- Device Driver in Linux
- Mouse settings (on laptop with 4 buttons, 2 for scrolling)
- Keyboard (stuck in US keyboard cant find out how to get UK)
- All those other things I took for granted in windows which is frustrating in linux (like finding out where to put my files!)

If anyone can help me out, I will be grateful, and, well, I was gonna say something funny to go with that, but, well, grateful is pretty much it  :)

Are you using a liveCD or HD install?

Icons and the link (.lnk) files behind them are in /home/dsl/.xtdesktop (need to see hidden files/folders to get to them).
You could edit, add, or remove lnk's (and add gifs/pngs if adding icons).  But I think there's a few catches if you are using a backup to do this with a liveCD, eg. if you removed some lnk's, the backup would not reflect this, it would only ADD or CHANGE stuff, not remove it.  Maybe you could make a script at to run at boot that removed extraneous lnk's?

Don't know if maybe Whitebox can edit desktop icon links?
