Some people can "sense" the 60 Hz refresh rate, regardless of the room's illumination - sort of a corner-of-the-eye flickering that's annoying, especially after a rock-solid 70+ refresh rate.
If I can't change the refresh rate to something higher, DSL gets demoted to the very occasional laptop use, unless I plunk down dough for a LCD display...
