Maybe I am missing something.
On DSL 1.0.1
I am trying to use RemoteX between a 486 and an AMD Athlon.
I already succeed in running VNCviewer from 486 and emulating the screen of Windows2000 on the AMD.
As for RemoteX:
-using the same login on both machines (dsl, not root)
-add XHost addresses to both machines
-ping is ok from both sides
Still i can´t find the machines when using telnet.
I read that debian turn off RemoteX by default for safety reasons, but was not able to figure out whether this is an issue at DSL.

Suggestions, anyone ?

Thanks,

jah_lah,

look for /etc/X11/xsetup.conf, edit (remove) -nolisten tcp.
that's it.
