I'm just glad I am not the only one :) I am a "newb" and all with this distro, but I have done some remastering as well as changed boot load options (as per another post) to add network static ip config thru lilo with a frugal_install (edited the knoppix-autoconfig and frugal_install.sh to add in the functionality). I will post a how to on what I did, but I really simply added stuff that others had already figured out, I just placed it into the lilo config stuff in the frugal_install.

This was the last real annoyance that I could see and was trying to trace it down since this install was to be used on some real systems.

The same is happening here, after startup, when you move mouse for the first time, a broken menu opens and desktop goes to 4.

It happens either with my optic USB mouses and old ball PS/2 ones.

I think it has no way of being a hardware issue.
I will like to get it fixed too   :)

... the mouse does not respond to the very first action.  I've gotten into the habit of nudging the mouse once just after fluxbox loads, and after this the pointer moves as expected.
This is with ps/2 ball.

I have seen this one too (on a PS2 ball, Logitech USB ball connected to PS2 through an adapter, and Compaq Presario 1245 touchpad).  For these, I had to move the mouse first before any mouse button can work.

this is REALLY driving me crazy... is there a fix anywhere? if i move the scrollbar in say a browser then it will jump all over the place and either start moving the window (usually off screen) or it will go off and open my desktop right click menu... it's making me absolutely insane and this is the only distribution I've found that will fit on my harddrive :(
