I'm using the XFree86 X Window System on DSL 1.5 (an HD Debian-like install) and the displayed screen is currently moved to the left (it is really awkward) and I couldn't move it to the centre and I couldn't adjust it manually. So, I wanted to use xvidtune to get the modeline to adjust the screen, but the xvidtune command cannot be found in DSL and I tried to get it from elsewhere, but the packages that have it appear to conflict with the ones installed - so I couldn't install them.
So, I was wondering if anyone here could tell me what is the best way to adjust the screen, that is: - are there any alternative methods to get xvidtune? - are there any other applications that can help me adjust the screen? - any other idea?
