I just installed v1.5 onto my OLD laptop hard drive (very nice default wallpaper and theme by the way, - keep this one) For the first time ever, (HD installing since v0.4) the icons, which appear bunched in a rectangular arrangement in the top left cannot be dragged and dropped around the desktop.  I used to double click and hold down the touch pad and slide icons around.  The new arrangement would be saved automatically for subsequent boots.  Now with the single click icon operation, I can't do this.  I have laboriously moved icons by changing the coordinates in their respective 'properties' files but these are not saved on rebooting.  They all go back to the T/L corner.  How can I save a new arrangement?

Open /home/dsl/.xtdesktop/xtdeskrc and change to Cols: 0

This will allow the icons to stay put!

yup, worked a treat, all coordinate modified icon positions now saved on reboot - thanks YFG for the um... god-like advice.
