This might seem kind of silly.  I run DSL on an old Compaq with laptop with a 12" screen in 800x600 resolution.  I was messing around and found alot of neat apps to dock in the slit.  Problem is, there isn't alot of room up the one side of the screen.  Is it possible to split the slit in half so the apps could be docked on both sides?

No way that I'm aware of.  There's an app called fluxspace that might allow you to change the apps for individual workspaces.

You might change the direction of the slit to horizontal and position it along the top of the screen instead of the side to give you more room, but i can't remember if that is possible with fluxbox stable.

Still another option is to try gkrellm instead of individual dockapps...this will allow you to have more tools in a smaller space.
